Tips and Tricks for the perfect winged eyeliner.

Hello guys, it’s me again. I hope your week started out well. I decided to create a schedule for myself, because I have so much to do and I always want to make sure I post something. I have to say creating a schedule has helped me so far as I now know what and when to post, also made time to plan my next post. I have been planning a 7days tour round Lagos starting from 19th to 26th to specific locations, promise to keep you updated on how it goes.

I made this post because I also once had a problem with drawing wings, my hands were always shaky and it always turned out messy and smeared, but this tricks saved me, I hope it does the same for you. Here it goes

  • Are you using a liquid eyeliner or a gel eyeliner?

Normally I do use liquid eyeliners but I just discovered my new love for gel liners as I have been so obsessed with it. Liquid  liners can be very frustrating especially when you have shaky hands like I do. I recently started using gel liners, it’s bomb. I know am a little late to the trend. I really recommend gel liners but if you are comfortable with liquid, you can always stick with it.

  • Do you use eyeshadow before or after applying your eyeliner.?

This question might sound funny, but some people do use the eyeliner first. I won’t say the method is wrong, but it’s not the best. Reason being that you don’t want to smear a perfectly drawn wing. So you should definitely apply your eyeshadow first.

  • Are your hands always shaking?

If yes, I know just what you can do totally works for me. First, balance your elbow on something hard like a wooden table. Second, use a sticky tape. I learned this watching makeup videos on YouTube { other things I learned from YouTube }and it worked for me so I stuck to it. All you have to do is place the tape upwards just how you would want your wing to look like, but if you aren’t comfortable using this just try anything with straight edges you have.

  • Have you done all that?

Now use a pencil to draw a rough sketch of what you would like your wing to look like and finally apply your liquid or gel liner.

This is how I draw my wing. I hope you have learned something, thank you for reading. This are a few eyeliner and eyeshadow inspirations from Instagram you might like.

Till next time. Xoxo Lorde.
